Glass Making Workshop

I love light in glass, the colours projected by coloured glass and was keen to know more.

After the Dichronic Glass workshop with Alison of Handmade in Netheredge, at The Art House in Sheffield in May, I booked the full day workshop.

Dichronic glass jewellery made at the workshop in May
We used a range of glass products to design and decorate including.

So here are my pieces pre-firing. Fingers crossed they survive the 1800 degrees in the kiln!

Careful selected Dichronic glass pieces
Dichronic Glass Brooch – before firing
Star light catcher, hopefully, decorated with frit, stones and of course sparkle
Colour burst light catcher or coaster
Playing with strings, copper and eggshell glass to create a scene
Fruit plate with bubble powder and sparkle

Ta Da, here’s what they are like after firing. I’m so relieved they survived the kiln and live how it evolved them. I love the light and colours in the glass.

My Colour Wheel Inspired Light Catcher/ Coaster
My sunny scene fruit platter
Stunning blue Star of David
My beautiful fired brooch.

I’m delighted with the outcomes. Thanks to Alison at Handmade in Netheredge for a lovely day workshop.

Thank you so much for being here. These are other posts you might like to enjoy next…
