Art Challenge 30 – Mixed Media Art (aka Getting very messy with paint and glue)

I haven’t posted an Art Challenge in a few weeks as I have been having a wonderful time exploring Mixed Media Arts.
Having been inspired by a picture by Kelly Rae Roberts a few years ago I have followed her on facebook. Kelly announced an ecourse so as I am rehabbing so need distraction from pain, exercises and ice packs I signed up.
Kelly Rae uses a range of media to create mantra pictures.
Through video tutorials and text information Kelly Rae guides you through her techniques and intentions for art.
The emphasis in the course is about seeking joy, creative freedom and pushing boundaries and not being afraid of getting messy with paint and glue.
Interestingly I found myself using my other hand to smooth the paint on the canvas.
You can read more about the course or even try it for yourself via this link.
So here are pics of the development of my pieces through the course progression. I am still working on and developing my skills and next want to develop a character style. I used an app to add some words digitally.

My favourite piece so far, and one that I know is finished, many art still evolving. I’ll post more in coming weeks so please follow the blog to see more – you can do this by clicking on the ‘Follow’ buttons at the foot of the page (left) or back up at the top of the screen. Many thanks.
